Large blue - Maculinea arion

This photo is courtesy of Mark Ogden, who took it in Bulgaria. A large sized blue with the double row of spots along the hindwing. The upperside is bordered grey and there are rectangular black spots on the forewing. It is one of several species which spends part of its life in an ants nest.
