Sloe hairstreak - Satyrium acaciae

Family: Lycaenidae

Flight Time: June - July

Size: 34-36mm

Altitude: 0-2000m

Notes:  A male is pictured above. The grey spot just below the tail is the best way to identify the Sloe hairstreak. The female has a black tip to her body which is an excellent diagnostic feature as well.
