Southern comma - Polygonia egea

Flight Time: Spring, Summer, hibernates.

Size: 44-48mm

Altitude: 0-1700m

Like the Comma, Polygonia c-album the Southern comma has a leaf like wing shape. It differs in having a small white 'y' shaped mark, instead of the usual ',' shaped mark. The banding is different too.
