Alpine heath - Coenonympha gardetta

Family: Satyridae

Flight Time: June - September

Size: 30 - 32mm

Altitude: 1500 - 2900m

Widespread and often common at higher altitudes in Valais, Switzerland. They didn't settle long, so photos were tough. There isn't much room for error in terms of identification, all the characteristics are quite easy to spot. Courting?
