Tufted Marbled skipper - Carcharodus flocciferus

Family: Hesperiidae.

Flight Time: June-August

Size: 24-28mm

Altitude: 1000-2000m

Generally better marked on the underside than the other Marbled skippers. There is a dark hair tuft on the underside of the forewing which gives it it's name, but it isn't visible here. The white stripe and discoidal spot are strong also.

Mark Ogden took the photos in Bulgaria.
